Homelessness

Camp United We Stand

We host a homeless encampment called Camp United We Stand (CUWS) for part of each year.

CUWS is a portable, self-managed community of up to 35 homeless people. The encampment is supported by a Board of Directors and rotates between faith communities who host them.  Learn more about the camp and others like it here.

The community was last hosted at Haller Lake United Methodist Church from August of 2021 until early 2022. Each time the camp moves in, we host a meeting for our neighbors to learn more about Camp United We Stand and how the church will work with the residents during the months that they will be residing in our neighborhood. If you would like to get involved in helping to provide welcome materials, a hot meal, or other necessities, please use the Contact Us form on this website.

United Churches Emergency Fund (UCEF)

The good work of UCEF prevents the cycle of homelessness from getting started by providing grants when they are most needed to north Seattle residents.
